Hi! We're the Vaubels from Botkins, Ohio. The five of us, John and Deb (Mom & Dad) and Heather, Ryan and Hillary (kids) run our family farm. It consists of 300 sows that produce 6,000 pigs a year. The pigs we raise are sold to kids to show at the fair, while others are sold to pork producers in other countries to improve their herds. We also raise some cattle and crops and sell feed to other farmers in the area.
When we aren't working on the farm, we like to educate others about the importance of the pork industry by hosting tours and going into schools. In the summer, we show pigs at the county and state fairs.
We are proud to be pork producers because the pork we produce is wholesome, nutritious and delicious. After all, food is something you need to live, and we’re glad to be able to produce it for you! |
