Farmer Spotlight

Hello kids! I'm Mike and I raise pigs in Putnam County in Ohio. I farrow, or have baby pigs, born on my farm and then another farmer takes the pigs and feeds them until they weigh 250 pounds. We keep our pigs inside to protect them from the elements. You know how nice and warm it is inside your house in the winter? That's why it's good to keep pigs inside, because when they are in a building we can run a furnace to make sure and keep all of the piglets warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
